Presidential document of military promotion for Abelardo Avalos

Presidential document form (43.5 x 58.5 cm) of Porfirio Diaz, partly printed, with manuscript entries containing details of a promotion to Major for Abelardo Avalos, 1st Captain of the Staff Officers of the Engineering Faculty. Signed by Diaz and countersigned twice by Pedro Hinojosa, Minister of War and Navy. The form is also countersigned and stamped by nine other officials of various departments of the government, some at later dates (May 15, 18, and 20, 1885), including the Departmento of Ingenieros, the Secretaria de Guerro y Marina, the Contaduria Mayor de Hacienda y Credito Publico, and others.
