Résumé du livre
Correspondence from John A. Brereton to John Torrey, dated January and February of 1834. Brereton's first note is primarily concerned with whether Torrey ever received the copy of his Florae Columbianae Prodromus, which was sent in 1830. The second letter begins with Brereton forwarding another copy, and goes on to discuss Torrey's recent, apparently aborted trip to the D.C. area (he was forced to turn back at Baltimore) and the disappointment felt by himself and the members of his botanical "Club" in Washington. On behalf of both himself and his circle Brereton offers to send Torrey any specimen he might want from their locale, as well as loan him any book or other publication Torrey might need.
