Archival collection of assorted manuscript and partially printed materials, ca. 1845-ca. 1870, relating mostly to the professional career of Thomas Allen Jenckes, of Providence, R.I. Includes briefs, writs, affadavits, legal bills, letters, interrogations, notes, dockets, and judgments, many in Jenckes' hand or with his notations, several relating to the bankruptcy of textile mill owners in Rhode Island, and one involving a case with George Peabody. Also included are a variety of personal letters, notes, invoices, and related ephemera, including a folder of his early school exercises (ca. 1830-ca. 1834?).
