Résumé du livre
As T. transversa grows, valve biconvexity increases and the cardinal process rotates antero-ventrally about the hinge axis. Throughout ontogeny, the moment resisting valve opening is consistently lower than, but increases more rapidly than the effort moment generated by the diductors. Juveniles gape more widely and are more active in orienting behavior than conspecific adults. Because of their small size, juveniles (unlike adults) do not orient themselves to take advantage of ambient currents. Patterns
