Résumé du livre
Three letters, dated Dec. 1-2, 1889, to F.D. Newberry, superintendent of the Indian school in Chehalis, Washington, from U.S. Indian agents Edwin L. Chalcraft and Edwin Eells, and Indian inspector James H. Cisney, of the Puyallup Consolidated Agency in Tacoma. The letters concern Newberry's recent resignation from his position at the school, where he and several students have been gravely ill. All three writers ask Newberry to reconsider his resignation, urging him to not become discouraged with problems at Chehalis, and to remain at the school where he is desperately needed.
