Résumé du livre
The Arnold R. King Papers primarily consist of letters written by King to his friend Agnes Peebles. Three letters were written from Alaska while the fourth was written from Camp Blanding, Florida. King describes his units' movements in the Aleutian area in Alaska and also his training at Camp Hood, Texas, and Camp Blanding, Florida. He describes his duties as mess sergeant, injuring his finger in the kitchen while on duty, being ill, living in a Pacific hut (instead of a tent), and getting his sergeant stripes back. His letters include information regarding his two brothers also serving in the United States (U.S.) Army and the death of his sister at home. The papers include an annotated booklet from Camp Hood, Texas.
