From November 2011 to December 2016, 13-year-old Myriam, like many other girls her age, kept a diary. Instead of writing about the typical things one would expect, her journal is filled with the violence and despair caused by the war in Syria. Her writing allows readers to see what life was like in Aleppo during those years.
