With Earth's environment failing after two American Civil Wars and a third World War, Humankind is forced out into space to save the species. After the second eco-ship launched, the 'Skybound', had a catastrophic event that killed a large portion of the crew. Left behind was a only those who were born aboard the eco-ship to continue the mission towards a star system with a potential habitable planet.Senion Technician Johnathan Fischer works to maintain the computer systems. He is pushed into a relationship with Commander Rosemary Yarden through the mechanizations of the eco-ship's computer Mark. While learning more about others and himself, Johnathan finds a new desire to improve the eco-ship. In doing so his modifications reveal a group of alien spacecraft in the distance who begin to approach the 'Skybound'. His actions from the discovery of these aliens will either door or save the crew of the Skybound and humankind itself.
