Macrofungi of British Columbia

Macrofungi, or those fungi visible to the naked eye, are important beneficial organisms in British Columbia, yet little is known about their extent and presence in the province. This report represents an effort to bring together published information on British Columbia macrofungi and indicate areas where further research is needed. It includes chapters covering the status of knowledge of British Columbia macrofungi; the status of individual species; rare or notable species found in the province; possibly rare macrofungi, by ecoregion; and surveys and survey techniques used to date. Appendices include species lists, a list of major collections of British Columbia macrofungi, and a directory of mycological taxonomists.
