Established in 1973, Enterprise Ulster is an executive non-departmental public body, funded by the Department for Employment and Learning. It has responsibility for the provision of training for the unemployed in Northern Ireland under a range of programmes including the Training for Work scheme, as well as other Focus for Work programmes of New Deal, Worktrack and Job Clubs. The annual report covers the activities of Enterprise Ulster during the year 2003-04, its 30th year of operation, and includes chapters on its strategic aims, equality monitoring, business development, programmes, human resources development, finance and organisation.
