Résumé du livre

This is the black and white edition of Family Memoirs: Pamiętnik Rodziny, making it more affordable. It is impossible to measure our debt to the generations that came before us. Their sacrifice and persistence is what allows us to lead the lives of comfort and prosperity that we enjoy today. This collection of words and photographs is my tribute to my parents, Walter and Jane Kaminski. This book tells of how two children of Polish immigrants grew up in a Western Pennsylvania steel town, married and went on to fulfill the American Dream of their parents.I have endeavored to preserve for the future generations some features of my family so that we will not pass away without leaving behind us at least some trace of our personality and character. I will send my family into the future through the use of photographs, words and audio-visual recordings. We will be time travelers. We are all flowers that blossom for only a little while. You continue to live as long as people speak your name. The dearly departed talk to us when we remember them and think about them. Read this book and listen to your ancestors speaking to you. Those described here will truly live forever in the hearts of future generations. I believe that our children's children, even hundreds of years from now, will enjoy reading about and seeing those who came before them, those who made it possible for them to be who they are.
