Wray Brewster, great-nephew of Sir David, to an unnamed recipient dated 11 July 1873 (with transcripts), 1 manuscript biographical note concerning Sir David written in a different hand, 1 portrait photograph of him, and 1 set of press-cuttings extracted from the London Illustrated News for 22 February 1868, being an obituary on him and including a portrait illustration. The bound volume also contains a brief typescript biography of Brewster identical with that written on the manuscript note mentioned above.
