This present volume comprises the lectures delivered by Roy Allen Anderson during the sixth series of the Lectureship, held in the G. Eric Jones Chapel of Morrison Hall on the campus of Columbia Union College, May 14-17, 1962, in Takoma Park, Maryland. This volume is not a treatise on intricate theological reasoning, but rather an exploration of the great themes which should motivate the true Christian preacher of today. Maintaining that Christ should be the center of evey sermon and that the Bible should be the basis of every discourse, Pastor Anderson blazes a trail in these pages into new fields of homiletic discussion, and does it so well that one finds here a rich source of material that will prove of real inspiration and put him on the road to a more effective ministry.
