Résumé du livre
The papers of Philip S. Bernstein (1901-1985) have been arranged in chronological and topical order. Fully one third of the material comes from his career as rabbi at Temple B'rith Kodesh, and includes various kinds of Temple papers and correspondence, as well as his sermons and memorial addresses. It is followed by material from his various public offices--Director of CANRA, Advisor on Jewish Affairs, President of CCAR, and President of AIPAC. Then comes material dealing with local issues, affairs of Rochester, Monroe County, and New York State. Another large section includes his addresses and publications. Correspondence and personal miscellanea round out the specific material. The last part of this register lists the "research material" PSB collected--miscellaneous documentation and notes for sermons and articles.
