Résumé du livre
This is a novel about a man raised by his parents to believe Brooklyn was far more fun before he was born, which he tried not to take personally. He regrets missing out on watching the Brooklyn Dodgers and Jackie Robinson play at Ebbets Field with his father, riding the Parachute Jump in Coney Island, enjoying a shore dinner at the Lundy's seafood palace, and seeing his mother perform her nightclub act. A virtual reality headset proves to be not only unsatisfying, but a contradiction in terms---lacking the authenticity of a real-life experience. But when he falls asleep that night he wakes up in 1956, two years before he was born, touring Brooklyn with his parents while working out issues with them that have been haunting him since childhood.
