A Proposal for a National Telecommuting Awareness Program

"Both newly developing countries like Mexico and economic powers like the United States and Canada, must learn to balance the need for economic growth with environmental concerns. The trade off necessary to make this equilibrium possible unfairly taxes the less developed countries which are less able to absorb the high cost of becoming environmentally friendly. However, there is a way to increase economic productivity while at the same time decreasing the harm caused to the environment. This win-win situation is called telecommuting. A formal telecommuting program at the company, state, national or international level will benefit all parties involved while reducing the load planet earth is forced to undertake. This paper is intended to inform as well as to persuade readers to actively consider themselves and their organizations as potential telecommuters "--Abstract.
