Résumé du livre
Geochemical mapping was undertaken to delineate bedrocks and Ni-PGE mineralization beneath aeolian regolith overlying the Morokkweng Impact Structure (MIS), which is situated in the Northwest Province of South Africa. The regolith overlying MIS is covered entirely by wind-blown Kalahari sand and few isolated exposures of calcretes. About 40 samples were collected from an area of about 50 square kilometers. The zones of geochemical anomalies coincide with the orientation of radical dykes / faults emanating from the impact melt structure, which is located over the impact melt rock zone. The nature of occurrence of anomalies in sediments can be diverse due to the complex nature of element adsorption to Fe-Mn oxides.
