Résumé du livre

In its third edition, the just-published Records Center Operations, 3rd Ed. (ARMA TR01-2011) will assist organizations with designing, equipping, staffing, operating, and managing a records center. It also covers vaults, security, records center software, and commercial records storage facilities. (For much more extensive coverage on commercial records centers, see Guideline for Evaluating Offsite Records Storage Facilities.) This technical report, which was prepared by an ARMA International Standards Development Program workgroup and registered with ANSI on September 11, 2011, will be useful to records and information management practitioners and educators, consultants, information technology professionals, and records center vendors.Although it also may be useful to archivists, it is not inclusive of the specific needs of an archival records center, which requires a more stringent look at temperature/humidity controls, storage supplies, and equipment needed for long-term storage of records and/or objects.
