Bob Adelman's stunning photographs of Andy Warhol in1965 while he was still 'not quite famous' are collected here for the first time in this rich and intimate portrait. Adelman brought his world-class eye as a documentary photographer into Warhol's world. His color and black and white photographs capture Warhol at the pivotal point in his career - working on his art and films in The Factory, at Leo Castelli's gallery, at parties with friends Roy Lichtenstein and Edie Sedgwick. Adelman talks about that time with Warhol, "I met Andy at Leo Castelli's Gallery in 1965. I knew some of his work.
