Annual reports, trustee minutes, printed catalogs, financial records, including fines imposed, daily expenses of the director, dues accounts, and bills payable, patron information, including daily journals and lists of borrowers, accession books and records of new books, books loaned, lost, ordered, or withdrawn, registration books, shelflists (in book form and card catalogs), books, and clippings and ephemera, particularly concerning the dedication of the original building. Includes term papers written by library science students at Boston University and Simmons College; and petition (1895) from employees at Pacific Mills requesting that the trustees use the services of a Miss Richmond F. George, librarian at Pacific Mills Library (the collections of which were donated to Lawrence Free Public Library in 1887).
