Bound transcription of the letters of James Jellie Cronin, the son of Frederick Frank Cronin, who was a wool classer on many Queensland stations. James Jellie Cronin worked on Nive Downs and Strathdarr stations 1914-1930, and ran the Apple Tree Creek Hotel in Childers in the 1930s. The letters from James Jellie Cronin are addressed to his mother, Jean Bailie Jellie, father Frederick Frank Cronin and sisters Jeanette Frances Cronin and Edith Nicol Cronin, who are mentioned in the letters, often by nick names. The letters from James Jellie are written from four Queensland sheep stations, Nive Downs, Strathdarr, Logan Downs, Toolebec and from the Apple Creek Hotel.
