Résumé du livre
The Oppe Collection is a spectacular group of watercolors, drawings, oil sketches, and prints dating from 17th to the early 20th centuries. Distinguished scholar Paul Oppe's particular interest was in British watercolorists and draftsmen of the 18th century. Among the best works in the collection are those by Alexander Cozens and his son John Robert, Thomas Jones, William Pars, Francis Towne, and Joseph Wright of Derby. This book illustrates 100 works, along with two essays providing a brief survey of the period.
