Résumé du livre
This report looks at the prevalence of problem gambling in Victoria. It presents findings from a population study of 15,000 from across Victoria in 2008 regarding risk levels of problem gambling, participation in different forms of gambling, characteristics of problem and non-problem gamblers, risk factors, help seeking, and readiness to change. The study took a public health perspective to problem gambling, and also investigated health and wellbeing, life events and stressors, trauma and psychological distress, drug use and smoking, and risk of suicide. This study has since been used as the baseline for a new longitudinal study on gambling.
