Résumé du livre

Dan Edwards has compiled a thorough history of 100 years of railroad companies that operated through Palmer Lake, Colorado. In past years, the town was served by the Denver & Rio Grande, Santa Fe, Colorado Midland, Colorado & Southern, Rock Island, and Missour Pacific. This account includes photos, interviews, news reports, and railroad documents. Why Palmer Lake you ask? Palmer Lake (the town and now dried-up lake) is located on a "divide" at 7200 feet elevation between Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado. This route, still in operation, is known as the "Joint Line," an arrangement initiated in 1918, and is used today by BNSF and Union Pacific trains.
