Résumé du livre

Abstract: "Contouring functions in three variables arises in a number of application areas including graphics and geometric modeling. In this paper, we discuss a method that produces an adaptive tessellation of the zero contour of a trivariate function. The method recursively decomposes space using a two-step subdivision method based on two types of tetrahedra. The final subdivison is adaptive in that it is more highly refined in areas in which the contour is highly curved. We then generate an approximate tessellation of the contour using a tetrahedral interpolation technique similar to that of [Lorenson 87, Wyvil 86] for cubes."
