Résumé du livre
Since the beginning, man has made various efforts to satisfy his desires for pleasures and enjoyments. And he has accomplished several achievements in these endeavours. Nature also has made immense contribution to man free of cost – it has provided air, water and light, the basic amenities of life.
But the mirage of desires for more has kept man unsatisfied, and man fell into the external race and forgot his origin. He severed his relationship with it. Because of this, an uncertain, unknown anxiety and fear of death shook man. Because one desire (lust) gives birth to another.
Man has not paid attention to his inner Self due to his aspirations and efforts to fulfill his wishes. And this is where all the physical and mental sufferings began.
Then a loving voice full of sweetness, affection and motherly love was heard:
Dive deep, dive deep, O my mind, into the ocean of beauty, and to the deepest depths descend: there you will find the gem of Love.
And this voice came from the Dakshineshwar Temple of Mother Bhavatarini (Kali). It was the nectar of immortality that came from the sweet voice of Lord Sri Ramakrishna. The attractive speech of this great incarnation gave true guidance to the lives of millions. These sweet nectarine words were compiled by an intellectual of Calcutta, Sri Mahendranath Gupta. Mahendranath and Narendra (Swami Vivekananda) became the medium in preserving the nectarine words of Sri Ramakrishna and disseminated it to the people of the world.
Today the same nectarine words are available to us in the form of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Kathamrita.
A collection of some flowers from this flower garden is lovingly presented to you. With the fragrance of these inspiring thoughts, let us make our life more devotional so that the beauty of life becomes even more enhanced. And to attain the divinity, we must leave the external journey and move towards the inner journey and make our life filled with Sri Ramakrishna.
