From the early days when patients queued outside the Outpatients doors and for just one hour they would be admitted for treatment, to the 24 hour emergency service that is now the norm, the service has developed and changed to meet the continuous demand from an ever growing population with complex needs.Throughout this history emergency nursing has also changed and the 50-year period from 1972 - 2022 laid the foundations for the emergency service we have today. Written in the first person, this is the second edition of the second book in my memoir series.
