"The author, Margaret Havergal (née Macleod) was born 16 January 1867, the daughter of Donald Ian Fraser Macleod and Mary Margaret Fuller. Her mother was the sister of Laura Abigail Fuller who married Thomas Moore Benson of Port Hope, Ontario and from whom we are descended on the side of our mother, née Cynthia Benson Jaffray.
