Résumé du livre
Inverted nasal papillomas are benign epithelial neoplasms with the propensity to become malignant. Even after en bloc excision of the papilloma, sinonasal cancers have been observed to develop months later. In this study, immunohistochemical analysis using monoclonal mouse p53, anti-metallothionein and c-neu antibodies were performed in the paraffin embedded sections of an inverted nasal papilloma. The tissue sections were immunopositive for metallothionein but negative for p53 and c0neu. The clinical and prognostic implications of positive immunostaining for metallothionein are discussed.
