Résumé du livre
Conventional stereoscopic displays lack the ability to render correct focus cues owing to the vergence-accommodation conflict when looking at a display. To overcome this limitation, time-multiplexed techniques offer the possibility to create a stack of focal planes by means of a high-frequency display synchronized with a deformable mirror, which renders each frame to its correspondent focal plane by changing its spherical surface (defocus). The ability to control the mirror and generate accurate spherical wavefronts is of the utmost importance for further applications of this technology. This is why this thesis aims to provide the necessary computational tools to control a deformable mirror with Matlab as well as the procedures to validate the resultant spherical shapes.
