This book contains a history of the Donnelly family which descended from James Donnelly the son of Teague Donnelly. Teague Donnelly lived from 1595 to 1678. James Donnelly had a son who was known as "Black James" because of his dark hair. James "Black James" Donnelly was born about 1661 and died Nov. 15, 1735. James had a son Daniel Donnelly who was born in 1687 and died April 17, 1792. All of these family members lived and died in Ireland. Later on, their descendants emigrated to America and lived in Minnesota. Many descendants today are still in Minnesota, South Dakota, Montana and nearby states. Other related families include Spethman, Spethmann, O'Hagan, and Hagan.
