Résumé du livre

They Kindled A Fire explores the half- century history and influence of the Wilderness and Outdoor Education programs at Earlham College and the many impacts on participants' lives, careers and perspectives. More broadly, Earlham's wilderness programs and alumni influenced the field of outdoor education around the world. The book draws on memories, journal entries, photos, drawings, poems and songs submitted to the "Earlham Wilderness (Past and Present)" Facebook group in 2020-21. Experience the self- discovery, insights, triumphs and struggles of former students, along with vivid portrayals of community-building and leadership development in outdoor settings, within the Quaker ethos of Earlham.
