William Alan Stone was born in 1933 in Norwood, Colorado. He served in the army from 1952 to 1954. He married Geneva Gray and they had two children. They divorced in 1972. He worked as a firefighter on Whidbey Island, Washington from 1966-1986. He married Jean in 1973.
