The Clan Fraser in Canada

Clan Fraser is said to have its origins with the Normans and, indeed, the clan motto is French, "Je suis prest." Clan Fraser is first found in the south of Scotland in the 12th century and later moved into the highlands where they formed alliances with the Earl of Orkney and Caithness. The clan was outlawed after the Battle of Culloden and a number of Frasers traveled to the Americas as soldiers and settlers.
