Résumé du livre
Beowulf is an outstanding ballad in the corpus of Anglo-Saxon writing. As opposed to picking a Christian subject, the lyric relates the considerable deeds of the eponymous saint, and his three primary battles: Beowulf is a great Goth warrior ("Geat", a clan in southern Sweden) who goes to Denmark to free the King Hrothgar's court of an awful man-eating beast named Grendel. In the wake of overcoming him, Beowulf multiplied the wagered by slaughtering Grendel's mom, and afterward came back to the place where there is the Goths to serve his kin and his lord, Hygelac. Significantly later, in the wake of succeeding the ruler, he bites the dust in a last battle against a fire-breathing mythical beast.
