Résumé du livre
This report discusses the results of a joint government, industry, and labor project to advance self-contained self-rescuer (SCSR) technology. It has been shown to be technically possible to produce an SCSR that is approximately twice the size and weight of a Filter Self-Rescuer (FSR), and that has a rated duration of 60-minutes. This device is the SR-100, a Person wearable SCSR (PW-SCSR). The SR-100 can be worn on a miner's body, making it immediately available in the event of a mine emergency. The research program leading to the successful development of the new PW-SCSR technology, as well as the results of underground field trials of the SR-100, are presented in this report.
