This project started in 2013 with an envelope of 38 rectangles of paper with hand-painted 'Sacred Heart of Jesus' images presumably painted a century ago by a Mrs. Caulfield, whose name appeared on the envelope. In time for Valentine's Day, Cummins mailed out a selection of the hearts to other women artists she knew would appreciate them and received back, not only thankful messages, but several lists and photographs of their treasured collections. After a difficult year, Cummins requested brief texts from her friends on the subject of love, longing or loss and used those texts to complete this project.
