Résumé du livre
This study of the Ndi Onicha - the Onitsha People, an Igbo-speaking community located in what is now southeastern Nigeria on the banks of the River Niger - provides an ethno-historical reconstruction of a society and culture that evolved over centuries prior to the colonial era. While the Onitsha community has undergone vast changes during colonial and post-colonial times, its people respect their past and this book seeks to reopen it for further consideration.
