Résumé du livre

The method of presentation in this, third, volume is illustrative and anecdotal. The book consists of a series of pictorial illustrations, each summarizing some key findings of a particular study. Facing each illustration, or chart, is a text that, to varying degrees, describes and comments on the methods of the study, summarizes the findings, and points out the more general significance of both methods and findings. Though the presentation is pictorial and anecdotal, it is also highly systematic and firmly based on a clearly formulated conceptual foundation
