Résumé du livre

"This was an action brough to recover the arrear of £10 Irish per year, due on foot of an enfeoffment of the lands called the Rath, granted by the Corporation of Dublin to Maurice, the son of Gerald, in 1225. The summons and plaint contained two counts. The defendant traversed the seisin in fee of the Corporation, and the making of the grant, as alleged in the summons and plaint; and he also relied upon a release, lost by time or accident. There was also an additional defence, founded on a patent, that there had been an extinguishment of the rent."--P. [3].
