DETECTIVES is a self-improvement book in reading, thinking, and writing book based on the solved cases of the fictional contemporary and classic detectives featured in the book's 20 stories and 4 plays; these mystery works of fiction are presented as both great fun to read and solve and as a proven self-improvement program for becoming a more observant reader, a more mindful thinker, and, yes even a more effective writer. The book is divided into six parts by the type of detective featured and is complete with special suspicions-to-solutions features, illustrations, and (but don't peek too soon!) reasonable solutions and explanations at the very end of the book for all 24 selections.
