The computer code eldemo has been run for fourteen test cases, representing various loading and temperature conditions, for a simply supported fuel sheath with no pci. the results were compared to predictions of various other available models. the comparisons indicate that eldemo is a fairly fast running code whose predictions vary little from those of other established codes. the comparisons also suggest a possibility for generalization of eldemo to include effects such as axial temperature variations and pci.
