Résumé du livre

Robert Livingston (1746-1813) asks Robert, Jr. to put their past differences behind them for a moment, and to lend him his assistance in a controversy concerning the honor of their ancestors. Robert notes that his grandfather and Robert, Jr.'s father never allowed their own differences to interfere with important issues concerning the entire family; and he asks that Robert, Jr. assume the same attitude and testify on his behalf. He concludes by stating that he will be as glad to see Robert, Jr. and forge a more harmonious relationship, as he will be to succeed in his current endeavor. Docketed on address leaf.
