Sources and Sinks of Ammonia in the United Kingdom. Final Report

This report summarizes work at lTE in the now completed first contract with the Department on the quantification of the sources and sinks of ammonia in the UK (1991-1994). Given the focus of the work on UK conditions, most of the field work has been made in Britain. However, other measurements were made for similar ecosystems abroad (notable the Netherlands) in order to take part in international joint measurement campaigns. The results of many of these aspects have now been published in the open scientific literature, and in order to make this report more concise the main findings are summarized by reference to the appropriate report. In other cases, the results have yet to be published and further details are reported for the first time here.
