In addition to the above, the collection contains: a docket book for the Court of Common Pleas of Worcester County, 1810-1817; six interleaved diaries in the Massachusetts Register, 1810, 1814, 1815, 1818, 1822, 1845, which are basically records of correspondence and monetary matters; and eleven other, more extensive diaries, July 19, 1826 - December 31, 1848, which give a general account of his personal, familial and professional activities as well as a record of the weather. The entries include details of his duties as a member of the Worcester School Committee in periodic examinations of various schools, his attendance at meetings of historical societies, Leicester Academy trustees, and the board of directors of a local bank.
