This book was produced by these well known authors in response to the needs of parishes to encourage families to pray. It is especially appropriate as a gift to parents and children at the time of BAPTISM. It is also popular as an end of year gift to children attending Sunday School or Junior Church. It helps to build a foundation for regular times of prayer as a family. There are morning and evening prayers as well as a group of Graces to be said at meal times. The vivid illustrations by Olivia Jackson-Mee when she was just 11 add colour and focus to the prayers, especially those for the younger children in the first half of the book. Children up to the age of 7 or 8 still enjoy these prayers. The colours, text type and page size are just right for the age group. The second half of the book provides prayers for parents in their responsibilities in the family. They go to the heart of the joys and trails of being a parent in today's world. The authors include some of the hard issues that face our families, and have written prayers with great sensitivity.
