Dieulefils photographed Tonkin, Cochinchine, Annam, Laos, Cambodia & of Angkor. The work is also a major list of the cards he produced, a catalogue raisone and guide to his cards. Collectors, dealers and others cite "Dieulefils numbers" when referring to any of his 4800 numbered cards. Dieulefils had his photographic studio in Hanoi and travelled widely throughout all of Indochine taking photographs of the native people, magnificent sights, local temples and architecture.
