Reports results of census of beluga whales (Delphinapterus leucas) using survey aircraft, carried out every 1-2 months between annual abundance surveys conducted in June 2001 and June 2002. Census focuses on distribution rather than abundance and aims to aid identification and protection of appropriate habitat.
