Résumé du livre

Decentralised technologies have gained popularity recently due to their reliable, transparent, open, immutable and secured natures. The technologies have demonstrated numerous benefits in a wide range of domains, including finance, healthcare, government, manufacturing and supply chain. However, barriers and challenges such as government regulation, lack of trust, lack of skilled workforce, technological complexity and costs are preventing many organisations and industries from adopting decentralised technologies. This paper studies the phenomenon of decentralised technology adoption from a coopetition perspective in the primary industry through a case study. It highlights how the coopetition relationship and the network effect drive the decentralised technology adoption across an industry, and the challenges and opportunities of this adoption approach on stakeholders and wider communities. Further benefits, challenges and limitations of the research are discussed.
