Résumé du livre
Increasing attention is being given to pest control strategies which lessen dependence on chemicals but keep damage below economic levels. Options such as biological control, biotechnological methods and integrated pest management each have to contribute to these aims. In keeping with this, the Fifth Australian Applied Entomological Research Conference, held in Canberra in 1992, focussed on pest control in the context of sustainable agriculture. The proceedings of that conference cover a wide range of pest management strategies and describe their role in the development of ecologically sustainable agricultural systems
